Abelia
Time's Polyphony

Thanks for taking a moment with me today. And Happy Poetry Month.
Abelia As I trim back the surging abelia that’s made a blind of the corner of the yard where the scalloped, double-bowled, time-tarnished concrete fountain sits, my shears reveal brown, serrated leaves from my neighbor’s tall oak tree that fell several moons ago. Autumn sings still in the chorus of spring.
